When I say brass, I MEAN brass! Probably been pictured on the forum before, but kind of neat none the less. Someone did a lot of work!

I believe there was a lot of controversy or family drama regarding the ownership of that scale model. I believe a son or daughter of the builder posted information on the forum years ago.

Can't remember the exact details of the story so don't quote me but seems to me the family claimed the car had been stolen from builder in some type of underhanded transaction whereby he was taken advantage of due to his old age or he may have been senile, etc. I believe they were trying to regain possession of the model. I think they were especially upset because the owner of the model had put it up for sale for $250,000.

Again - I can't remember the true details but there was a lot of drama involved.

Erik, not sure if this one is the same. This one said 1/6th scale and the one talked about in the above sites 1/4th scale. (I have no idea...)

I'm pretty sure it's the same car.

For some reason, the one of the links I posted above doesn't quite "stick." If you copy and paste it into your browser, instead of clicking on it, you can see a number of photos of the model car.
