John Mays is selling a chassis in the classifieds, and it has a bracket on the rear of the chassis with a fender iron bolted to it. I was wondering if he or someone knew what these brackets and irons were used on?
They look like they would fit my cut off touring pickup and look better than the homemade stuff I had made years ago.
Any help appreciated, especially if you have these parts for sale.
Roadster. I'm going to use them on my cut off pickup too.
Those are typical roadster fender irons - same as what I have on my 1917 roadster so I would say they are at least 1915 through 1922.
Those are also typical body mounting brackets regardless of body style. If you have the actual roadster deck on the car, the body bracket and the fender iron would be separated by sheet metal and body wood and the THREE bolts holding the iron onto the car would be much longer.
Looks the same as on my 1925 coupe
the bracket is a body bracket, Bob
