I met Gil Mangels a few years ago at a small car & airplane show west of Missoula, MT early in the morning - truth be told he was hauling @ss down a country road towing a cool salt flat belly tank race car - I gave chase & caught up at the car show ....

We talked about cars & the great country we live in.

He gave me a brochure & told me to come see his " little country museum " .....

Humble Guy that Gil ......

Today I happened upon that little country Museum & spent (3) hours walking the place - you need a long day at the least to take in everything.

Members who did the Montana National Tour this year know how special this place truly is.

Helen - his wife - told me Gil was rushed to St. Patrick's last week when his gall bladder burst - he is recovering at the hospital.

In the Emergency Room - ICU - Recovery Room Gil was selling his " little country museum " to everyone within earshot.

He had Helen bring brochures to the hospital ...... :-)

Gil is in Room 506 at St. Patrick's in Missoula, MT.

Give him a call there or try him on his cell phone @ 406-270-7895 during daytime hours.

He is one of a kind ......

That museum is just so amazing......

These photos hardly show what he and his wife have collected over the years!

There is so much to take in from all over the world, and even beyond!

Dan,

I have never been in another Museum that can compare.

But then I have never been to the Smithsonian.

Everyone should pay a visit & linger ......
