Our burgundy/black 1926 Touring was bought in Hope Springs, North Carolina and imported into the UK in July 2012. I've been led to believe it was restored around 5 years or so before that. Be really cool if I could find a little history on it.

Pictures and engine number might help!

Hi Fred. Well, I figured there can't be many '26 burgundy/black Touring Ts restored in Spring Hope, NC in the last 10 years, so...:-)

Just kidding. Chassis number is 14234836. Engine number is different so a replacement engine, but still '26.

Take no notice of the licence plate, that's an English registration.

Seems the restoration may have been done in MO after all.

There was a previous owner in Springfield, Missouri, initials S.P.P. (This is a public forum and I don't want to invade his privacy if I can help it). If the gentleman is still with us he will be of advanced years, but I get the gut feeling he may be a long-established T guy and may be known to the community.

Does this ring any bells here?

Deke, there are two Model T clubs in Springfield, both MTFCA chapters, the Show-Me Ts and the Heart of the Ozarks chapter.

You can see their contact information here:

http://www.mtfca.com/clubpages/chapters.htm#mo

You might try emailing them and asking them.

That's a good lead, thanks Dick.
