This Pie Wagon braved the Cody tour. It was the only T and also the oldest car participating. It performed well with the mostly pre-50's cars on Sylvan and Beartooth passes in Wyoming.

This Depot Hack is on display at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center.

I also saw this in the local shopping center.

It was a great week in a wonderful part of the West with 150 of my best friends including some forum watchers. If you have gone on any tours this Summer I'm sure you know how fun it is.
Rich

He was hustling his buns most of the time.

Here are a few of the other cars on the tour:

Hello Richard

I saw the pie wagon at the Wings and Wheels show in Powell. I was curious as to engine details and rear end ratio on the car but never found the owner. Would you have any info/specs on this T?

thank you

scott

Hi Scott. I only talked to the owner for a short time. I didn't remember much detail except for the Ruckstell axle. We visited more about our enjoyment of the Forum and the hobby more than the vehicle. He may have told me more than I remembered. We planned to talk more but weren't in the same places at the same times enough.
Perhaps he or others who know the Pie Wagon from Colorado will have some better info.

Rich

I have forgotten how beautiful that area is. Haven't been to Cody in 35 years. Thank you for posting these.

Hi all,
I had the pie wagon at Cody.
Scott, it has a Z head on an otherwise stock motor. It does have a ruckstell but I didn't have to use it on this tour. Richard, it was great chatting with you for the little time we had. Also I didn't take the T over Bear Tooth pass. Just too arduous. Thank you for the kind words.
Ever the lurker, Mark

Thanks Mark. I should mention the Pie Wagon was awarded "Ladies Choice" out of the 64 cars. That is encouraging that T's are so well accepted on these tours. It also was awarded a sponsor's trophy at the "Wings and Wheels" show in Powell. Several tourists mentioned they wished they had brought their T's on the tour. Mark did well to drive the many miles he did. It is a challenge to go on tour with the later cars.

As for the passes, we climbed Bear Tooth when the kids were young and the Speedster had back seats. It is "The Top of the World and indescribably beautiful. Responsibilities elsewhere on the tour prevented us from going there or taking a T this time.

Sylvan is great also and most folks miss seeing the "Corkscrew" that was used in the early days.

Rich, looks like a great gang! We done the bear tooth on the HD in 04'. Thought I would have to call 911 . My wife freaked out. We were flatlanders no pun intended with my name. Great photos from all. Thanks!!

Hey Mark

thanks for the info..sorry we didn't chat. If ever this way again, call ahead and stop for a visit...I just spent the last 2 days putting Tim back on the road as seen in "Coast to Coast IV", so there seems to be "T" stuff going on everywhere out here these days!
