The longer triple gear pin that goes into a slot in the housing was introduced late 1921, the change note was dated 10-28-21.
Roger...you mean the pins the three gears ride on or the center gear/steering wheel mounting taper?

I just make another one for the earlier cars.
Just finished one and the longer pin is to keep the steering wheel from continuing around as you turn the wheels. There is a groove in the brass housing that makes this work.
The cotter pin that goes through 3523?
