some one a while ago asked if there was a wrench that would easily re move the bolts on the model t carb, I have what my father called a ford flat head starter wrench.its half moon in shape 9\16 and5\8 on the other,I needed to remove my carb today and the inside bolt&nut was being nasty, the starter wrench worked very well. The tool we really need for an NH is one to remove the seat in the carburetor without messing it up!

I got to thinking there is two ways to unbolt the t carburetor, looking at the carb , the nuts will be to the left the, bolt head to the right my wrench reach's over the base between the manifold and gas valve, on my job I was able to hold the nut with my fingers while wrenching the bolt loose.my wrench gives me a full 1\4 turn on the bolt. I could not find any wrench in the seven foot high red tool box that would come close to removeing the nut side.the name on my wrench is cectrolite corp, defance,OH.starter and manifold .#7000,BILL HARPER,will you make it to Dan.s show?I will bring my extra one for you.Greg.

LARRY, I found by dressing a good screw driver to a tight fit in those brass seats [unless some lame brain was there before you] the driver wants to take up all the slot, I heat the head good and warm,it may take twice and give the driver a good whack to shock the seat pushing hard down on the driver, if you are lucky to have a driver with a shank that will take a wrench to give a extra boost.try not to let it slip.Ive had good luck with this method.[not every time tho.then its the drill and a easy out,not fun.GREG
