Some nicely restored cars as well as some drivers. I saved the photos of the 1924 Drop Frame that was labeled as Denmark for the country of origin. Note the unique front axle and spindles below:



Note the side view and how the rear door has a cut out to clear the rear fender:



Also a door on the left side -- I suspect the body came from England along with the unique Drop Frame parts. I also suspect the engine came from the USA. If anyone obtains the engine serial number of the 1924 touring, please let me know. Also if it was an export USA engine, it would likely have "Ford USA" stamped under the engine serial number on the water inlet. The cylinder head did have Made in USA on it. Depending on what it goes for, it could possibly be a good car to restore or drive as is. (And yes the top bows are not original etc.)

And then I loved someone's innovative solution to a lack of available wooden coils on a 1925 Ton Truck. Notice the plastic water resistant cases.... shown below:



Hey - don't laugh it probably worked. And it should be an easy conversion back to a coil box when one is obtained.

A few years back I was selling my original unrestored 1924 dual overhead cam Fronty "Riverside Special" mounted on a tt Fronty powered truck. This museum contacted me and wanted me to donate the Fronty to them. When we emailed back and forth , they told me they had no money but really wanted me to give the car to them. So this auction has been coming for a few years now, kinda surprised it lasted this long.

I ultimately sold it to Speedy Bill and its now where it belongs on permanent display in the arena for all to admire.

At first I thought it would be the Den Hartog, which was 100% Ford/Lincoln/Mercury, but it's not the full collection from there. Where is all the other stuff from ?

Jem ; this auction is of the : de RIJKE museum in Oostvoorne. It has nothing to do with the Den Hartog museum in Hillegom. The de RIJKE museum is not only with Ford, but a lot of other make's.

HAP, as you probably know there are a lot of other unique parts on the English Drop frame design from 1924/25. However the front axle and assosiated parts were carried on to European 1926/27 models as well. Today these parts are great to use for speedsters, as you can combine them to lower the chassis significantly with only stock unmodified parts.

I went through the whole catalogue. I agree with Michael. A big lottery win would be nice about now. And, after all, Peter says that he and Toon will deliver to my door with the proper reimbursement....

Wayne, the Irish Sweepstakes (essentially a lottery) has been around forever. I think it was started in the 1930's. Yes - I know - technically Ireland isn't Europe.

John, Ireland isn't Europe the way Japan isn't Asia, I suspect....

BCG, things must have been different when Speedy Bill was running the show. If you still had the Riverside, the speed museum would also want you to do donate it.

You are correct the Drop Frame cars required lots of special parts to make them look and function well. Lowering the chassis meant the fenders would rub so the front fender brackets were higher etc. There are some good photos showing the higher front fender bracket at: http://www.skebo.ac/Karbins/ford/ Note -- it was listed for sale about 10 years ago, but the photos are still there. I wonder if anyone has gotten that one back on the road?

I hope one day that the MTFCA Museum has a Drop Frame Model T to show how different they were in the late 1920s in Europe.

And I agree those axles and frames are great for a speedster.

It may be first registered in Denmark in 1924, but it is most likely a 1925 model.
In 1925 many/all?? tourings assembled in Copenhagen was of UK origin rather than Detroit. In my 1930 spare parts catalog you can find the deep frame parts only for 1925 model year. In 1926 the Detroit produced cars adapted "½" of the lowering of the chassis (1½" in stead of UK 3") so from 1926 no more deep frame cars assembled in Copenhagen.
