I have just purchased a 1915 Speedster with a Rajo head, and of course distributor etc. I have limited mechanical knowledge but have friends to assist.Unfortunately I do not have the history of car but do know that it is a nearly completed restoration. I am after some information on tips to check the timing of the engine if anyone can help please ?

Timing is set as any other distributor conversion on a model T - having a RAJO head makes no difference - doesn't on mine, anyway. Set #1 to TDC, determine which rotation the shaft turns then set points to just begin to open for starters - final timing I do by "ear". Firing order 1,2,4 & 3.

Shouldn’t that be just after TDC ( either 4 or 11degrees, I have forgot which )
