New Amish made cart, custom harness. My friend Bruce on the reins, we're ready to drive ! Tony (aka "Goliath") stands at a majestic 9 hands (36" at the withers).

Nice! Looks like Goliath could use a little work. Very well fed.

My horse is 32 yrs old. The only thing he pulls is money from my wallet to feed him senior pellets because he has no back teeth! Never sick a day in his life. They say they can live to 40. Just my luck. Lol

Nice looking outfit. We have a old rescue pony, Larry, that the wife broke to cart. I think he eats as much as hay as the big horses. My old Appy went under at 35. He broke in several generations of kids to horse tricks.

Dallas, Tony's a chunk alright, but he's also really fuzzed up. Lows in the 20s the past week has him wearing his winter coat already !

Pat, this guy can live on air, I think. In spite of keeping him away from the feed, he had a bout of laminitis this summer. Vet I know says ponies are in three states: they've either foundered, they're foundering, or they're GONNA founder !

Rich, that is a fine looking rig. Those ponies can pull a pretty good load. My Amish neihbor has one that pulls a 4 wheel cart with most of the family. I think all the kids learned to drive that pony.

Dandy rig Rich!
Bruce has a big grin but Tony doesn't seem all that pleased to have his picture taken.
Brows slightly down, head slightly down and ears pitched back. "Ugh, just take the darned picture"... :-)

My dad bought a pair of young quarter horses (sisters-Star and Patches) from my schoolmate's dad for 75 bucks when I was a kid.
Dad gave Bill 75 one dollar bills! Dad had a great sense of humor. :-)
Laddy ran me over once. His mother Lady, was a nice ol' Shetland.
That darned Arabian of my sister's wasn't a very friendly horse either.
Sorry. Hadn't thought of our horses in a very long time.
