G.R.Cheshire asked in a previous post about the tank on the running board.

It is actually a toolbox! It is made from a 4 gallon drum, this one dating from 1944.
There were some treasures inside.

The hood bow clamps are correct for a tourer, which is how the car first came. There was a T hubcap wrench, a rabbit trap, sundry spRk plugs,a short length of new elevator chain, an inch of dry dust and a Triumph motorcycle wrench. Apparently the storage barn was home to an early bike too, but it has been long gone.

I love the enginuity of such home grown products.

My tools rattle around in a rectangular tool box. How appropriate a round one is. :0)

Alan.. those hood bow clamps.. I stupidly passed up a set in a heap of T stuff I collected the other day, not knowing what they were... just rang ol' mate and he still has them for me to collect. So much to learn about T's.. does the learning curve ever cease?

Very neat. I might make one myself.

Tony, the only sure thing about T knowledge is nobody will ever kmow everthing!
The hood bow clamps for yhe Dalgety cars are somewhat unique. As the width of the bows increases from the front bow to the back one, the clamps need to reflect this. If you look closely at the clamps you will see how this was managed. I learned this when helping a mate set up his bows ready for his new top.
If you're making a buckboard, these clamps will not suit, as you will only use 3 bows rather than the 4 on a tourer.

There seems to be some variants in bow clamps used on Australian bodied 25 T's
My 25 Steenbhoms and 25 Tarrant.
