How do I attach a Christmas wreath to my radiator safely without damaging it?
How heavy is the wreath ?
Very thin/strong wire like florists use. Loop it under the hood/radiator rod up front. Bring both ends around the rad filer neck one on each side and attach to the wreath. tie off rt & lft to the headlamp stalks. Use cloth or tape where it passes over the rad top.
If its a brass radiator, I would suggest something to insulate the wreath from the heat of the radiator.
Thank you Charlie!
I was attempting to use a mechanics wire and fishing it through the fins of the radiator.
I quickly realized the error of my ways when I saw the potential to damage the radiator fins.
I will give this new way a shot tonight.
Thank you.
Michael,
If you attempt this before Thanksgiving - the Evil Elves will wreak havoc with your T ......

I would just tie a thin rope to the wreath and loop it over the filler neck. I assume the wreath is not monstrously heavy?
Bouncin' and yankin' on the neck is to be avoided in my book but you do what's best for you.
Charlie,
I assume he's driving it in a parade, and not a Baja Rally.
I put a small plastic wreath on the front of the radiator on my 27 Roadster to drive Santa around the neighborhood when the car was still in Kansas City. It covered the lower half of the radiator and despite the frigid, near zero degrees F, the Motometer topped out and when I got home Lizzie was steaming to beat the band. True, it was an original three row round tube radiator, but it worked just fine even in warm weather. I guess that wreath was denser than it looked.
I attached it to the headlight tie bar.
Like I said.....
