Anyone know what is going on with the Ford Barn, their forums have been dead all day.

If you're looking for the kind of action you'll see here forget it. The Barn usually has about 1 tenth the posts that the Forum has over any given time. I for one like the site. Picture posting and editing are very good. Wouldn't mind this site changing to that system one bit.

It would be a shame to lose the information in the archives on The Ford Barn For a very good system I like The Vintage Ford Forum.

Ford Barn - The Hamb are part of Atomic Industries
owned by Ryan Cochran in Dripping Springs, TX.

The websites have crashed - not sure when they will be up.

I sent the FB a email about an hour ago asking what happened? I haven't heard anything yet. I wonder if they are getting my email.

HAMB was down this am too. Some of us have other interest besides Model T. :-) V8 era and Model A's. Just checked, both are still down.

I tried the HAMB as well and got an error message.

I used to check the H.A.M.B. often because they had several excellent threads on the history of racing cars. Several good historians from around the world contributed a wealth of information, and hundreds of wonderful photos of every era of automobile racing from the early days of the 1890s onward. I had dozens of writings and photos bookmarked.
Then they "upgraded". All of my bookmarks became useless. Like most fancy glitzy sites filled with trash getting in the way of the purpose, I got sick of trying to find what I wanted to see and playing games of "shoot the pop-up". Besides, my barely a DSL line can hardly load them (the garbage takes more bandwidth than I have available). Been quite awhile now since I have tried them.
Been about eight years since I tried Ford Barn for similar reasons.

Given some time, all sites crash occasionally. I have no idea why theirs did at this time. But clearly, new formats are not a real guarantee of reliability.
I like this one just the way it is. But, that is silly old-fashion me.
