Hey guys, I looked up the diagram for installing the seat/needle on my Kingston L-4 carb. The diagram shows in order.... the seat washer, the seat itself, then a little washer, and finally the needle itself. Obviously the small washer will not fit inside the seat itself (duh) so what is the small washer for? Also, do you have to "seat" the reproduction needles the way the service book explains by lightly tapping the needle into the seat? My carb had a ball float when I brought it and will not seat and leaks like a sieve.

The only gasket would be between the seat and body of the carb. The other gasket might be there for illustration only to show the kit comes with 2 different sizes. Take a close look at the needle, some need to be polished a bit before use. Tapping the needle should be ok it forms a seat in the brass body for the needle to seat in.
