I heard yesterday that Front spring perches are also a "Right" and a Left" one.

If true does this apply to the rear as well?

True?

Of course! Check your parts book. The rears are the same.

The right & left front perches are very important to get correct.

Rears are both the same.

John, the front spring perches come in left and right because they set some critically important steering geometry in the front end. Because the rear doesn't steer, the back ones can be exactly the same.

Come to think of it, I wonder if Ford ever considered mounting the front crossmember on an angle so that the front axle inclination couldn't be screwed up through incorrect installation?

Some the front cross members get corrected when the perches are installed wrong and the car runs into something along the side of the road! LOL :-)
