Larry is a great guy, all the best to him and family! May God bless him.
Payers sent from far away.
Come on guys! Larry has kept a lot of Model T's on the road, and as Kim said, he is one of the good guys!
First I heard of this. I wish Larry the best. He has been a true friend for a very long time. All our prayers.
I agree with above posts. I saw Loco Larry just a week ago Friday. According to his wife, he had the stroke on Saturday. They don't come any better. It's my understanding his business will close.
My prayers are with Larry and his Family
Regards the Sayers
This is a shame. We just don't know when this is our last day. Thank God Larry is still with us but sounds like his days of fixing Model T's are over. May God bless him and help him recover. A great guy and friend, Glen
Sad News for sure. Larry was one of the Go To guys here locally for T guys needing work done on their cars. He wrote several articles and gave presentations at the Long Beach T club meetings. Our Christmas dinner is coming up tomorrow and I'll be sure everyone knows about the Go Fund Me site.
Our prayers and thoughts are with him and his family.
When thinking about the holiday giving please consider him and his family. Even small amounts add up.

With Larry in the hospital it will have a significant impact on his grandchildren's Christmas. Please consider donating as a present for the children.
update on Larry as of yesterday evening. His Right side remains the same, He cant sit, stand, or roll over without assistance. Monday he will be moved to a skilled nursing facility for 2-3 weeks, then to rehab until he is able to function enough to be home. sounds like he is in for a long battle, all the best to him.
Hi model t's brothers.
Larry is a so nice and helpfull friend for all of us . I pray for him as he prayed, a year ago, for my lovely daughter .... She well recovered and we wish that it will be the same for him . "Come back Larry, we need you so much !!". Waiting for better news.
Pierre from France
I received an email from Rae, Larry's wife this morning. Larry was able to take two small steps yesterday. There is hope!
I bought a car from Larry two years ago and found him a pleasure to deal with. Wishing him a speedy recovery from everyone in France and especially from Pierre and myself. Ken Carpenter.
Got an email from Rae today. He is being moved to a care facility today for two weeks. After that he is to go to a rehab facility.
I stopped to see Loco today. He looks good! He still can't use his right arm, but he's in a wheel chair, and is talking like nothing happened. Let us hope he continues to progress well.
Thanks Larry for the update. Please give him my regards when you see him next. Oh and Derrick Pang would like to visit him also if it's allowed yet.
I have been following your progress and would like to wish you all the best and a rapid recovery, even if we did not see eye to eye in the past. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Frank Seress
Pierre to Larry Smith:
Could you give us latest news from LocoLarry ?
How is he recovering ?
Many thanks
Rae has been posting updates on Facebook.
Larry will be home for part of the day today, but needs special transportation assistance, meaning a van that a wheel chair can roll into. Also some family members have been learning how to help him with transfers.
The last I heard is that he will return home after the current facility and not go to a different rehabilitation place, but I don't know exactly when that will be. So far there has been no improvement with his right hand and very limited improvement with his right leg.

Rae has continued her daily updates on Facebook.. The nutshell is Larry, Rae and the entire family have a very real, very steep hill to climb, and this will continue for the foreseeable future. Larry has helped many of us over the years.
Please consider helping with the go fund me account if you can. The link is at the beginning of this thread.
