We just got back from a HCCA tour in Minn. and the were quite a few early "T" cars on the tour.
I was told and saw that on all of them that the larger glass panel is on the bottom and that they all fold to the rear, Is this correct? If so, mine is on upside down and backward.Another Rookie mistake!
Steve, the early ones folded forward and about 14 they started folding back. What year is yours?
Original pictures and catalogs show early thru 1912 as folding toward the driver ( rear) , many Rands brand windshields have been reversed because the detents were not strong enough to keep the windshield from folding by itself at higher speed and especially with a gust of headwind.
1913 windshields fold forward. Any other Model T windshield should not.
The car is a 1910 mother-in law roadster.
