Model T Ford Forum: Forum 2009: Door panel upholstery

I know virtually nothing about upholstering an auto. My Dad has a '24 touring car that has been upholstered, except for the inside door panel pieces. To put these on, is it really as simple as just holding them in place and stapling them on with stainless staples in the strip around the edge?

If it makes any difference it is an upholstery kit from Cartouche (not looking for +/- comments about them, rather mentioned it in case their design is different).

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

Mike

From what I've seen, CarTouche kits aren't the greatest. A good friend of mine had one of their door panels on his '14, and the binding all started coming undone. Langs sells the correct binding for your doors. When you go around the corners, you have to go straight so the stuff doesn't all bunch up. I get the upholstery nails from Witmer Coach Shop in New Holland, Pa.
