hi, i live in France

if i'm right, the engine block castings have the word "Ford and (or) made in USA", on the left side of engine.

When do these words disappear on the engine block castings?

i have found to the head on the MTFCA ENCYCLOPEDIA "in August 1926 the " Made in USA" and "Ford" were being eliminated from the head castings"

but to the block ?

And are the english blocks have others words casting ?

thanks in advance

My 26 that was cast near end of Oct. 1925 does not have the logo. Wish it did because it looks great.

Herve, Sorry it took so long to post this incomplete answer, but my 1922 engine has the Ford script in raised lettering on the left side of the block. Now someone with a later engine can go out to their barn and look at their engine to get you a later date. By me posting this answer it put your question at the front of the line again ! My mid year 1926 Canadian engine has Ford script and "made in Canada" on the block and the head.

Merve,
regarding the Manchester blocks, they had different looks. Niel Tucket and others have written a book about the UK Model T's which in the 20's deviated quite substential from the US Fords. Relatively early they started to cast their own engines which then obviously was not Made in USA.

Herve,
According to The Model T Ford Encyclopedia, Sept. 25, 1923. "FORD USA" no longer on the engine block.

My July '25 actual '25' has neither a script block or a script head...but I have no idea of whether either is a pure original since new...would tend to think so, but, don't know as I've only known the history of the car since the mid-50's

My 1926 Fordoor has the Ford Script on the head on the manifold side. The serial # at the water inlet on the engine matches the serial # on the frame. Just For What it's worth.
