For a supplier to be listed in the MTFCA Parts Suppliers section of this website they have to contact the MTFCA and request their company be added. Apparently some suppliers are not aware of the benefits/requirements?

It may be that they do not want the increase in volume of sales, which can quickly overwhelm a small business unless you have enough staff. I know thats why several suppliers dont have internet online catalogs or ordering ability.

Just because you have been buying from Bob's for years (I have too) doesn't mean he contacted Bruce McCally and asked for his advertisement to appear in the Supplier section of this forum.
To get my ad in the suppliers section that is what I had to do.
You may want to bring this to Bob Jr's attention. No doubt he would be interested in free advertising?

It's hard to believe that a business would forego having his business listed on the mtfca website because it might increase his business with the very customer base his business is targeting. I don't think any good businessman wants to, intentionally, keep his business small and thus avoid measures that would increase his volume, profits and success. Henry Ford himself proved that the bigger the business, the better the deal you can get with your vendors, the more the savings and the less you can sell your product for, which for us cost conscious Model T'ers is a definite plus. With so many competitors targeting the same finite customer base, with the most agressive, competitive, efficient and cost effective ones getting the business, the mindset of smaller is better, is a recipe for failure and bankruptcy. Any firm who wants to be listed in the suppliers page must contact the club's business office. The business office will then ask me to add it, which I will then do. I am not supposed to add anything without the club's permission.
Bruce
