Please fly your flag today and take a few moments to remember our fellow countrymen who were attacked on our home soil. God Bless America!
I'm sorry, wish I could, but Obama has officially declared today as a "day of service" to our communities. It is designed to change 9/11 from a day of reflection and remembrance to a day of activism, food banks, and community gardens. I have to go now to promote socialized health care as something wonderful and good for our society.
Hi,
I'm Richard. Excuse me. I am an ass.
Denny -
My flag flys everyday! Like almost everything else the only problem is my flag was made in China - try finding one made in the USA.

Travis: I also fly our USA Flag daily, however, a shop here in Anchorage sells American made flags. I paid more for it that previous China made flags, but it has out lasted all of the previous ones and is still flying strong.
8 years ago today, shortly after the incident that day, we went and grabbed a flag that we had. We have a few from over the years. It was flying for a week when a friend stopped by and while he was here, he noticed it was a 48 state flag. In our rush to hang it we grabbed the wrong one.
Flag is flying on a fire pike pole! Along with a set of fire bunker gear with black helmet and a fire axe supporting a sign that says "9-11-01 FDNY FALLEN but NOT FORGOTTEN!" j
9-11 was our 25th anniversary, so I never forget. Through the internet I have friends who survived that day, and the tales they told, even those that were not right at ground zero, are remarkable.
This is also my nephew's birthday, he was 7 at the the time.
Thank you for reminding me to fly our flag!

Flag flys in the front yard all the time.I have a small flag of some type on most of my vehicals.
While I was working after 9-11 it was common to find the flags on the side of the road that fit over the side glass on your car door. After about 3 months I noticed I didnt find as many, didnt see as many on cars, and now you seldom see 1.
Regardless of what anyone says,a leader, a follower or whatever.I will remember what happened on 9-11-01.And pray it dont happen again.
Happy Anniversary David! Just think, in four months you two will have been married a third of a century.
We were in Branson Mo having a vacation. Wife was in the bathroom getting ready to go to breakfast, and I was watching TV. They interrupted the program to show what was announced as a terrible accident. While the camera was focused on the building. People were saying they thought it was an airliner. Just then a second plane hit the second tower. I knew then it was another "Pearl Harbor". We then went to breakfast, and someone came in to the restaurant and said a plane just hit the pentagon. The rest of the vacation was not so good. we were nervous and fearful about what was happening. We didn't know how we were going to return home. People were lined up for gas. The rumors were spreading that they'd hit the oil refineries and the only gas was in the stations. Pickups full of gas cans were being filled up. The next day all the stations were open but had no customers. Saturday, the day we were scheduled to come home the airports opened and we got home. When the plane landed in San Diego, the passengers clapped.

This year, more than any other, I honor Flight 93.
That was the only 9/11 attack that was THWARTED. And by whom? Not any government or
agency thereof. It was the AMERICAN PEOPLE that did it, with no tax dollars, red tape, waiting
lists, or reams of paper forms involved. Everyday Joes and Janes just like us. They stood up,
literally and figuratively, threw themselves in the breach, and saved God only knows how many
lives in Washington that day, and sending the highjackers to wherever mass murderers go, with
their tails between their legs.
Since then, the government has done a laudable job of helping prevent another attack on US soil.
But I believe deep down that, besides all that, Flight 93 gave the dirtbags pause. Their sneaking
attacks could give a figurative hotfoot to the giant US government, but We The People will bring
them down.
When we look only to the government to provide, and not to ourselves, we’re in trouble.
9-11 is our 45th anniversary. I've got 2 reasons to be sad.
Doug Money: It's legal to fly any star flag.

R.V., very well said! Dave
Seth,
Thanks, I think. . . a 1/3 of a century??? Egads, I could have been out on good behavior if I'd plead guilty!
Where does the time go??
I've only got 5 years to get my car running for its 100th birthday!

We got our 2nd grand daughter today-a 9-11 baby.
The flag flew here before 9-11-2001, and will continue to fly for as long as there is breath in my body. This county, and myself lost many friends that day, and they will never be forgotten.
