Can anyone recommend the name of a company/person that sells the fire wall for a 1922 Model T?

Here is one: http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/905

I'm sure there are others.

I think FunProjects made high quality firewalls, but can't find any in the webshop now?

Steel firewalls didn't show up until early to mid 1923. I make show quality wood firewalls one at a time during the winter months only and on a time available basis.

Last year my dad purchased a firewall from Langs for his 1917 touring - click on the link below:

http://www.modeltford.com/item/3634G.aspx

The manufacturer of the Langs firewall is probably the same as the one offered by Snyders.

Be aware that although it was the correct thickness, the width of the reproduction firewall was slightly undersized. Also, a number of operations had to be done to it in order to make it correct. To name just a few items that needed to be corrected, the reproduction firewall was not beveled on the outer edge, certain holes that should be countersunk were not, and the slot for the carb rod was a straight cut instead of an angle cut.

With an original 1917 dashboard in hand and the appropriate blueprint from the Benson Center, he had a pattern maker make all the necessary corrections to the reproduction firewall.

I purchased a 12 wood firewall from Langs and the holes for the firewall to frame brackets didn't line up. I found some appleply the right thickness and made my own. 12 is a hard one to make because the top firewall bracket hole doubles as one of the steering post holes.

The other problem is the current supplier uses soft plywood and the bolt heads sink into the wood when tightened. Years ago the repros were made from appleply and were strong and kept their shape. The guy who made them died and the new ones aren't very good.

I hear Regan's firewalls are very good. I believe he did the one on my 10. Can't swear to it, though, since I purchased it already done.
