I'd like to make one to get the correct bends for my 24-25 hood.

Thanks

That looks like Seth's hood carrier. Give him a shout and see if he still has it.

I made a bikini hood for Seth a few years ago and he sent a very nice form for me to use. Note the front and rear shape. Also the slight roll from the top front that blends into the side roll at the rear.

Ken,

Yes that's my old car alright, but the full hood and carrier went with the car when I sold it. The only carrier I have left is the "shipping crate" that you saw, but that wouldn't be any good for a full hood since the "bikini hood" filled it up.

The hood and hardware you fabricated really improved the looks of my speedster/pickup and it was really nice not having to open anything to show off the engine!

Thanks again for all your help with that project.

Seth

Will,

My speedster was a low-hood car, so even if I had any measurements, I don't think they would help you for your high hood.

William,
Why not trace your firewall and radiator shell onto a piece of plyqwood and cut them out. The measurements for the bracing should be pretty easy if you have your hood and a tape measure handy.

Well, there's a good reason.... they are currently bolted to the car with water in the rad and all wiring hooked up, to a running car. I didn't want to have to take all that stuff off the car and it maybe not run correctly again.

A kind gent from near me has offered to let me trace a firewall and shell he has at his home.

Thanks guys.
