Has anyone heard of using aluminum doors on the 23 coupe? I thought I read before that the center door has some but didn't see anything regarding the coupe.
By 23 coupe do you mean the 1923 Suicide Door Coupe, or the 1924 Standard Door Coupe built in 1923?

I mean the 24 standard door built in 23. thanks.
I don't konw about the Coupes, but the Fordor, introduced in '23 had an aluminum-skinned body at first.
The '15 Centerdoor had an aluminum-skinned body as well.
As far as I know, the coupes did not use aluminum anywhere on the body. The Fordor did use aluminum in the body - the upper part of the rear body where the rear window is was aluminum - at least on the early Fordors. I think (emphasize "think") that they may have also used it in the doors, probably (just guessing) for the 1923 model year.
On the wooden door cars, the way you can tell a coupe door from a Fordor door is by looking at the beading running vertically along the front and back edge of the door. On the Fordor, this is a T shaped piece that is nailed to the door. On the Coupe it is stamped as part of the door panel. For the all steel doors they both use the same door.
If you have aluminum coupe door, please let me know!
Thanks,
Dave S.
My 24 Fordor has aluminum doors and the upper body is also.
Rick
The doors are wood inside but don't appear to have the t shaped piece nailed to either door.
