I have offered to pick up a Model A Roadster for a friend. I will be using my enclosed trailer that is set up for my 25 Model T Coupe. Would the Roadster be much heaver than my Model T? Would the center of gravity change much? Thanks for any ideas you might have.
I used to own the identical combination; a 30 Delux roadster and a 25 coupe. I don't know the length of your trailer, but the roadster will sit a little further back in the trailer due to the bumpers if you're currently bumping the coupe against the front wall. This difference never caused me any problems. As far as the CG, I would guess it's probably about the same fore-aft albeit a bit lower on the roadster.
I have a '29 Model A Roadster and a '26 Model T Touring car, both of which I've towed in my 22' enclosed trailer with no problems. I believe the A is a little bit heavier, and the Model T a bit taller, but not alot of difference in length or the CG position.
i have both a 27 roadster pick up and a 28 tudor weigh bout the same, in my trailer, love them both!
