Hello. Please see pictures below. Can anyone tell me why these two early hot air pipes are different? Is one an earlier version of the other? If so, which is which and about what time frame was each produced?
Thanks much for the information.
Scott.

Different manufactures? Both about 13-14 vintage. Some earlier ones were cast.

Jack, do you think one would be right for a late '12 model or should that be cast?
Thanks!!

It will work ,but I think you're looking for the cast one. They sell repops, but they're salty.

Those stamped ones are 1913 - 1917. Like Jack said, different manufacturers. 1912 and early 13 would be cast iron.

Thanks Jack and Royce. I have a re-pop cast pipe but it is very coarse and grainy. I am using Rustoleum high heat flat black paint to coat as one of the two pipe's I have has some original paint on it and it is flat black.
Thanks again for the input.
Scott.

It has always been my understanding that the pipe with the crimps is earlier.
