I thought you guys might enjoy these photos. My 4-yr old daughter Kaitlyn got to help with the reassembly of the magnets two weeks ago. She slipped the spools into place and put the brass screws in the holes. She has an amazing memory - today I showed her a photo of the flywheel in the Ford Service manual and asked her if she recognized it. She quickly said, "yes - it's the Model T magnets." Made me proud! Model T Helper

Too adorable, Jim. That's a great age. Enjoy! The time goes by too fast and before you know it, they're grown up.

Bob

Way to go Jim!!!!

Not only precious, but priceless

Next task....explain 'open end wrench' and tell her how numbers apply...haha

Works great when you are under car with the wrong wrench. My son finally got the hang of it while he was still 4!

Now he is 32 and when I want an open end wrench its a little tougher on me. I was a 'cool' dad and made sure both sons had at their houses tool sets equal to mine and what they had available to use when they were still home.

The tougher part? First I have to get in my other car and drive over to his house to 'borrow' mine back because he misplaced his and came over and took mine :-) Point-train them well, then lock up your tools!

But do enjoy your post. Flashed a memory of a little hand reaching below the running board and saying 'This one?'

Brought back lots of memories of my Daughter when she "helped" me, her Mom would put her in her stroller (she was young) and off we would go, get absolutely filthy and greasy, but loved every minute of it. She is on the cusp of being a Grand Parent herself, I hope she lets them get greasy too. I can't post pictures of her, wish I could.

A friend of mine and I co-owned a London taxi in the '70's. I was overseas and he had the car in his garage. His daughter was around 3 or 4 at the time, and when he was working under the car, he would call out the name of a tool he needed and she would hand it to him. One day, he bumped his head sharply on the underside of the engine and let fly with an expletive. Then he heard an angelic voice from next to the car ask, "What's a s** of a b****, Daddy?"

Wayne, don't leave a space between the word image and the first curly bracket. Then type something different between each set of brackets, e.g. {photo1} {photo2} etc.

Yep, just figured that out.

Lets try that again:

Interesting to think that probably one of the next pictures of her with one of the cars may be her wedding day.

@Bob: First they help you fix the Model T and before you know they ask if they may borrow it tonight :-)

@Wayne: Where does that surname originates from? Do you have danish roots?

Michael - My understanding is that the family seat is in Bergen, Norway but that the family migrated through Denmark to Germany before coming to the states with the Pennsylvania Dutch to settle around Albany. The other spellings, Rosencranz, Rosencrantz, etc. reflect the migration route.
