Very cool picture. This sounds like the premise for a movie, doesn't it?

I once worked in that building. That's the Dearborn Engineering Lab on Oakwood also known as EEE, or POEE, depending on your age.

About 15 years ago, a father and son did the same thing in a Model A Tudor. They travelled from the tip of South America to Niagara Falls, to Dearborn. Their car is on display inside the museum which is next door to this building.

I think it was about ten years ago that I met a man and his wife at the Pate swap meet who were driving a Graham (1926 if I remember correctly) from their home in Argentina and were headed for Alaska. I believe she was expecting, and they planned to stop for her to have the baby, sell some books to raise money, then continue. How would THAT be for a movie?

I've done the trip from New York to Buenos Aires, and back, several times via Gulfstream IV. Its a long ride even on a luxury jet. I can't imagine what those guys must have endured.

Untill 1948 folks in Argentina drove on the left side of the road.
That must have been strange to see a rt. hand drive T speedster in the U. S. on the roads in 1941.
The folks Steve mentioned stopped in San Francisco on that trip.
It was maybe 6 years ago. They had a baby born some place in the eastern part of the U.S.
I didn't go to see them but a friend in our T club did. He was from Argentina too..
