I thought I saw a posting that some thing happen to Kirk, is this true?
Bill,
I am sorry to inform you that Kirk passed away recently. Was told he was having health problems for some time before his death.
I had the pleasure of touring with him during the last Arizona Shoot Out Tour. Went to his home after the tour and seen many of his model T speed secrets up close. At that time he was working on putting an "Offy" crank shaft in a late T block. Had welded in extra main bearing support webs in the block. Ended up going home with a repro RAJO 4 valve aluminum head.
Also, I like the way your 280 cam shaft performs in our 13 touring.
Man! thats hard to believe, such a talented guy. I met him at the Model T reunion at Bill Smiths place a few years ago and he brought a few projects for show and tell.
Thanks for the complement on the cam.
I am working on some new cams for the model T this fall and I hope to be dyno testing if I get the time. should have a motor done soon that we can test with.
