What is the rate $ fore boaring a Model T block ?
Ten to fifteen a hole in my neck of the woods
$14 to $25 per hole around here. Price includes proper honing and fitting pistons to desired clearance. I charge $75 to do four cylinders.
I thought a Boar was a wild pig.
Is boaring a new sport or something?
Related to that is the story about the Yellow Pages cross-reference that read, "Boring, see Engineers."
haha Dick, lol. Where I work I am one of three Civil Eng. Techs. And you are spot on. We are much more fun than the four Civil Engineers we support.
I'm a mechanical engineer. Wish I had been more civil.
I don't know Hal, you said all that and without one curse word. Your pretty civil.
Three engineers were having lunch one day, and the talk turned philosophical:
The first engineer wondered what kind of engineering help God had when He created humankind, and proposed "It must have been a mechanical engineer -- just look at the variety of movements in all the joints of the body!"
The second engineer responded, "No, I think it must have been an electrical engineer -- think of how the brain controls all the functions of the body via electrical impulses."
The third engineer thought for a moment about his friend's opinions, and then said, "No, it had to be a civil engineer -- who else would run a sewer line through a recreational area???"
wow... talk about changing subjects...
Hey, at least this thread is staying civil unlike many that don't.
OMG Dick. laught so hard tears came running down.
Boaring?
10 years ago my T was bored 30 over, valve guides re-sleeved, and lifters re-ground....for $136.00
Steve, you sure do get interesting wildlife in your garden
Cheers
and keep roofing!
Adrian
Steve:
Looks more like a SOW to me.
That was very funny Dick
Im sorry Dean for taking your thread off subject. I was at work and anytime I can poke fun at an engineer, well.....
Dean,
Do you say that because of the petcocks located just below and aft of the hog's head?
I thought the ears were supposed to be attached to the sides of the transmission , not the hog's head.
Maybe it's a 26/27?
Jerry,
Yes I see 5 & am sure there are uters not visible.
I thought you wanted to Boar, not Hog out a hole?
I think I danced with her one night in North Dakota or maybe Iowa. I was pretty drunk. Well, not THAT drunk. She was kind of a bore. All she wanted to talk about was how her great grandfather fought in the Boer war.
Stan, I assume that you bore up well under the ordeal, though...
Oh, the local place charges about $11 per.
Conversations like this is why my day is never boring when I check what's going on at the MTFCA Forum. This kind of stuff is why Model T guys have so much fun. Information and humor. . . . it doesn't get any better!!
Sometimes discussions like this provide inspiration that takes us on flights of poesy:
A fine pair of swine had the flu,
and they pondered, "Oh, what shall we do?"
They rode a balloon to a vet in Rangoon,
and that is one time that pigs flew.
If you think you have bird flu, you need to see your doctor for a tweetment.
If it is swine flu, you need to get a prescription for an oinkment.
Chris,
I am realy Hoging this one out 20over-30-40 and not cleaned up yet.
Two women walking past a hog pin noticed the farmer (apparently drunk) was wallowing in the mud with the hogs. In a loud voice one lady said, "well you can certainly tell a person by the company he keeps" and the hogs slowly walked away

Frank, it looks like you have a space between \ and {. Try it without the space.
Don't help Frank too much, he may try to post that stupid picture of the smiling pig with my false teeth again.
