Just rebuilt RF Stromberg on the test stand. First one I've ever had running. Ran fine. Note the flex pipe on the inlet. Figure thay have to run going up and down hill as well as level. Very sophisticated adjustment for degree of incline. 2 x 4 cut at an angle.

Looks good Stan!

What differences did you find in the design and the rebuild process compared with the OF?

There are quite a few differences, the main one is they use a modern style of needle and seat as well as a modern style float. The idle circuit is simpler than the OF and uses a long tube idle jet instead of the more complicated one in the OF. The RF raises the needle for more gas with the choke on, the OF doesn't. The RF has no economizer valve. I thought this one ran very well although I have heard from others that they don't run as well as an OF. I think the biggest difference is the Aluminum body. Hard to get the stuck parts out of the holes, I'll bet. This one was very nice and came apart easily. It just needed a clean up and and new needle and seat. I had a NOS one that I never did know what it fit. This was it. Wish I had more of them. I can make an adapter pretty easily. There is quite a lot of room in the area where the needle and seat fits. I don't think there are any interchangeable parts between the two except possibly some screws and maybe the throttle and choke plates. The shafts are different.
