I am looking to purchase one of the spindle bushing facing reamers. I have never used one, and the one Lang's sells looked like it had a long shaft that may extend through both bushings. They are, however, out of stock. Some of the other vendors have spindle bushing reamers, but they look like a different manufacturer, they appear shorter; and I am wondering if anyone would have a recommendation whether I should wait for the one Lang sells or if they are all the same. Or, does any other vendor sell the same one Lang has.

The upper bushing face bears the weight of the front half of the car. The lower bushing face only takes up the "endplay". A very satisfactory job can be done by leaving the "factory" finish on the uppers, and filing, sanding, grinding, or otherwise removing material from the lower bushing faces since a perfect surface to surface fit would be of little value in that area anyway. It takes only like 20 minutes each to do a decent file job... Might take weeks for the tool to arrive...
........or longer. I have had one on back order since last July...
Ward - I would offer to loan you mine but it's on loan already. I should have mentioned this on your earlier thread.
Hey, by the way...Did you try to call yesterday evening? I picked up the cell and it went dead--Low battery. All it said was Arizona so I didn't call back. I didn't think I knew anyone in Arizona.

No, it wasn't me calling, probably a telemarketer. Our name will show up on caller ID.
I sent a package to you a few days ago, if you have any questions, zap me an email.
If the guy, or gal, who borrowed the facing reamer hurries up and gets the job finished, I would be happy to rent it sometime the next couple months.
