Would anyone with knowledge or any info at all about Mifflinberg Bodies please contact me. I am restoring a 25 Huckster and need help.
In Richmond,Indiana last summer I could not find even 1 Mifflinberg Body.
What I need is drawings or specs. I do have the irons.

I've a '25 Mifflinburg Body Co Catalog, if you can tell me the body number type or describe the style body, I can email you a large scan of the body.

I have always wondered how the pull-down shade type of side curtain worked and what the mechanism looked like. To me, it's a neat set-up, one that i would like to duplicate. Does anyone have any info and/or photos of this arrangement?
Thanks,
Mike
Mike
I think there was no mechanism, just the simple roll down curtain. The bottom seam may have held a thin wood stiffener if the the curtain was full width or very wide.
The rolled up curtain was held up with tie strap at the roof line. The curtain rolled down would be held to the side wall or pillars with typical lift the dot or twist type curtain fasteners.
Thanks, Dan
I always wondered. I think that arrangement makes for a nice appearance.....not sure how effective it would. But again, side curtains in general are not all that effective
Mike
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE GREAT RESPONCE.
I willl get to work following the leads you have given me.
I think the body was a 110 Express but the original owner called it a Huckster
This T has only had 3 owners, Ralph Gray of Upper Marlboro, MD and his uncle befor him.
According to the info I got, the truck was running until the 70s when it got knocked over in a thunderstorm and the body was ruined.
Everything is rebuilt , except the body, and I am almost ready to try and crank it but am a little afraid to try.
Thanks again for the help & wish me luck!

Does anyone know if the regular T bodies have a steel reinforcement beam as the Ton Truck bodies show in the Mifflinberg catalog.
Thanks,
Arthur
Arthur
According to the catalog page for the Style 110, the subrails did have metal "reinforced irons on the sub-sills" to provide more support to the body. Mifflinburg must have had that feature on the commercial T body and TT truck as the catalog mentions this feature.
Arthur -- "Huckster Wagon" (or simply Huckster) is and was a common name for the Express type of body.
The front mof my new 110 is just finished and now I am ready to start building the maion part of the body and realized that even though I know what the Mifflinburg 110 body looks like and can deduce a lot of the measurements, I don't know the dimentions of the beams, posts, slats, etc..
Would someone with a Mifflinburg body or actual drawing allow me to copy the information I need to build mine.
Arthur, where are you located?
Craig
Arthur, are you still out there? I've emailed you as well. Hope to see another one come back to life.
