Joe did you notice the Item location: WILMINGTON, DE, United States

This is the credit card capital of the world. This shows how they think the rest of the world works.

If I had an eBay ID I didn't care about I would e-mail him to say if he wanted twenty more I could make him one hell of a deal...LOL. Jerry

I'm RICH! Soon I'll be having tea with the Rockefellers. He's got other T parts for sale at "bargain" prices too. Almost makes me think he's parting out a rod project from the looks of it.

Maybe it uses gold or platinum instead of babbit. I noticed the huge number of bids on it. I'll have to tear apart some parts engines this weekend to make some spare cash.

If he is a rodder and he cant get those rediculas prices he will probably chunk the stuff. Then when a stocker guy says something about it,"Well I put the stuff on ebay and nobody bid on it,must not be worth anything"
.Why in the world would anybody ask such a price for that part unless they aint did 1 dang bit of research?

That's just it Mack, they don't do research. I've been tracking a number of items over the past few months to see what the going price range is before committing to an auction (non-T stuff BTW) just so I can unload it fairly. Lotsa folks figure "It's old, it must be worth big bucks." and act accordingly.

Given the fact that you can buy them already rebabbited for under $50 from just about any T catalogue, it will be interesting to see if anybody goes for this deal.

Also, if it has a Ford script on it, that automaticaly makes it worth ten times what it should be. How many times have you seen a split, beat up T hubcap that wouldn't make a good paper weight with a $40.00 price or a T coil that is falling apart from rot for $50.00. Dave

Yes the starting bid is high (and with a reserve yet), but I've been guilty occasionaly of selling something on Ebay for way too much. Makes me shake my head, and there are times when I've sold things way below what I felt was a "fair market" price. What upsets me about this auction and others is the $25 for shipping. I've passed on as many auctions as I bid on because of excessively high shipping charges. Ebay does allow you to report cases of high shipping charges, but I've never gotten any satisfaction from reporting anyone.

I build and updates website for a hobby. I was junior partner on one website that the others wanted to add a counter to show useage. Almost immediately our club members started getting popup ads and complaining about them.

I suggested the counter was responsible and they finally agreed to take it off, just to prove me wrong. I was not wrong and the popups quit. We have no counter now.

This counter was located someplace in Europe and was recording the logon e-mail addresses and sending everyone's e-mail address to ad agencies for a few cents each.

Looking at the related computer code, there seem to be a few counters that are totally self contained on the server, but they are difficult to find and I don't know of one that I could use like that, if I wanted to count website hits.

You need to check his auctions now, he's added some additional bargains. So far no bids on any of the items he has up for auction.
