The long Beach Model T Club is holding its 55th annual swap meet August 1st and 2nd in Cerritos California at the Los Alamitos Race Track. Swap spaces are $40 at the gate and you can get in for $5.00. Free parking and a special place to park for "nice cars" and Model T's.

We like to think that we started parts exchanges long ago. You can download directions an an application blank from our web site at www.lbmtc.com and follow the directions on the web site for getting the information. while you are there you can check out our many activities and even brouse through our "Magneto News" the monthly 20 page news letter in full color.

This is always a good swap meet with vendors and swappers up and down the rows with good deals and actual cars for sale as well as new and old parts. It is right next to Costco so you can walk over there and get that famous all beef hot dog and a coke with unlimited refills for a buck and a half. Clean toilets and wash stations make it a pleasent event for all.

Yes that is Kim Dobins on his knees looking through a pile of early Model T parts in the photograph below.

The Swap Meet is on Katella Ave and you can get there off of the 605 freeway at the Willow Steet off ramp and go East. An extra bit of information for you follows: The land developer for that area was laying out the streets for a huge real estate deal and selecting names. He had two daughters and didn't want to offend either one of them so he named the main street after them. Yes you got it right . . . . one was Kate and the other one was Ella.
