This is a little freaky. This guy looks like my grandfather, who had a 27 coupe with disc wheels. He bought the car in Vancouver, married my grandmother, and drove the car to Montreal in 21 days. The papers took his picture and published it. I'm not saying it is, but this is a little freaky. What year is this coupe, and what state is the license plate?

Whew, I see "24" on the plate. Never mind. I need to find the newspaper clipping with the pic of grampa and his T.

Most likely in the '19 - '22 range.

I'd wager this car is louder than Mark O's 23 Runabout! Did this fellow lose the back of his muffler?
Young Mabel tells Fred "Don't talk down to me." and grins. :-)

Duey, that muffler has the back on it. The outlet is up about the 9 o'clock position. Dave

The upper rear panel of the body is oddly dented - ?!? How would that happen ? Any other earmarks of collision of damage you can see ?

That is an odd dent considering the wood framing behind the sheet metal is next to the window sides. I see no damage to the lower parts.

I always like when you can see the shadow of the photographer looking down at the waist level camera.

Hey Duey ... is my '23 that loud? Standard everything on the exhaust system .. maybe the sound on my camera is particularly sensitive. :-)

That fellow looks a lot like Fred Gwynne

Disc wheels sure do ugly up a T.

I believe those are disc covers inside and out with wood spokes in between. The hubcaps are very short outside of the cover and the inside of the wheel looks equally odd.

Perry! You got the "Fred" remark? That's who I saw too. Slightly shorter version before his growth hormones kicked in. ;-)
That Fred pic was grabbed from "Car 54, Where Are You". What a fun show!
Sorry Mark. :-) Your 23 is loud and runs so darn nice! :-)
I like that as I'm deaf as a stump and have thought about offering you the two tubes from inside my muffler as I won't need them. :-)
Sorta tongue in cheek but yet?... :-)
Trouble is, I have it stuck in my head you mentioning your new muffler was kinda loud a year ago or so and I lipped off saying mine is so darned quiet I pulled the tubes out so I could hear the little bugger better. :-)

The rear window on this coupe appears to have the same rear window corner radii top and bottom, unlike the rear glass pattern in the Ford glass book. :-)
