Can anyone tell me if "insides" from my F-1 case
Will fit in the FO-1 case? Any information will be appreciated.

Bump. I am guessing you don't have it in hand. Depending on the cost and that there may not be a lot of these out there, I would might take a chance that parts from one would fit the other. Worse case, if they don't there is the classifieds and ebay.

Got it today! Thanks so much to Mr Hoffman. How sweet to buy something from someone who is well versed in transmissions. Price of admission is worth the part by itself.

My lower end overdrive gear is rough. Plan is to machine off the old one and shrink/press fit a new one on. Anyone else need one one made. Just asking.

Here's Michael's project, he's shown us before but as usual I forget. :-)

Mike

He's quite serious if you happen to need that gear made for replacement. "Act now" as the advertisements used to say.
Most parts are a bit cheaper in quantity.
Michael, I DO want to get over to the shop and see what's going on and visit for just a bit. My text didn't go. :-)

Can anyone tell me the trick to getting the tower
apart? There appears to be two pins that hold
the forks to the shafts. They are not roll pins so
I'm guessing there tapered? That would mean driving them out from the top. The shift lever would have to be removed first? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!

They're probably just solid pins with an interference fit. However, to remove the shifter: there should be a smaller cover piece that just slides up and down the shaft. It's only held in place by gravity. Pull that up and off. The next piece is threaded, and just needs to be unscrewed. With that off there should be a spring and a small cross shaft running through the shift lever. Just pull that assembly straight up.

Mine aren't real bad but figured I'd replace what I can while I have it open. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!
