i tore my rear axle down everything looks great except the pinion bearing. it looks good except one roller has eaten the end ring half into. what causes this? i will replace with the fun projects i guess
i dont have a spare good bearing. philip

My suspicion would be that there is a lot of wear in the bearing. This could be in the outer spool or the inner bushing or the rollers themselves. This would cause some twisting of the bearing which would push on one side of the end ring causing wear. Just my guess. Anyway, it needs replacement.
