what is up with all the too good to be true
model t ads on craigslist. i know they are fake
but why. philip
Scammers trying to find that one guy who will fall for it.
but what is the scam nobody is going to pay for a car without seeing it. philip
Just my $0.02 but Craigslist is almost becoming unusable. Those who post or inquire have to be extremely careful. Many messages are sent that look legit either by text or email but they're just trying to get your information. Be very weary of anything you open. Personally, I won't even view anything unless it comes through the Craigslist system and even then you still have to consider if the request is legit. But to answer your question of why; because criminals have no boundaries and will use anything to benefit themselves.
And regardless of any so-called computer "skills" they may or may not possess, they are not very smart.
LOL, I have found out, as soon as you say cash, oops, GONE !!!!!!
I dont deal with anyone on craigslist that wont talk to you on the phone. And the only way I pay is in person when the transaction takes place.
It's always a dead give away when there is only 1 picture and you can't reply to an actual phone number or e-mail. You can only reply thru Craigslist e-mail. I e-mailed them to go f--- themselves and their e-mail reply was "Thanks for your interest. send me your e-mail and I will send you some pictures" I think they are fishing for e-mail addresses.
I put an ad on C L recently for my A and got a lot of "can I call you now" text that never called and my ad was buried in about 20 minutes then I was flooded with scam e-mails and phone calls trying to sell me stuff. I will probably never use that media again. I would have been better off parking the car out on the street.
