This Universal Joint came out of a running T, where a bad set of piston rings resulted in a teardown. One of the rivets is missing the head, and another rivet is completely gone. Gaps between these lugs and yokes are between .15" and .18". I'm guessing another 5000 miles or so, and this may need some repair....what do you think?
Regards,
Scott

Scott, even if the two yokes come apart, the two forks of the uni joint will still drive, grinding away at themselves. I drove an old beater home some 50 miles like that. It didn't do much for the babbit in the ball cap though!!!!

Allan B, (Laughing as I type) I was thinking of telling of one I took out of a "running" rear end (I probably still have it and should add a photo, but I don't know where it is?). But I think your tale is better yet!
