Be it known that we have a bunch of great guys on this forum.
Case in point! I needed moral support on assembling (correct way)to assemble a wheel. He was nice enough to send-email his short video on the way he did the wheel and it worked-along with a couple of emails for clarity. It had been a long time since I put a wheel together!!!!!!!!
Thank you STEVE

If I can do it you sure can. I build the spokes press off the designs found on this site. Just remember the bevel goes toward the hub. I put them in backwards the first time and couldn't get the hub to press flat against the spokes. Sand the edges where the spokes meet against each other so they will slip and align when you bolt the hub and it's plate together.

Just noticed in the first photo I posted the rim was upside down. Another lesson I learned.

I used the spoke press when assembling my wheels. It worked good except it was difficult to get the hub straight. I had to take a couple apart and re do them. Keep checking as you bring the hub down to make sure it is going straight. I painted the felloes and varnished the spokes before assembly.

It may be a deep secret on a simple thing he told me about! He used wax on the surfaces that adjoin the spokes and it made them slip better. So he was a great help and I was honored to visit him in May 2012, and took him to lunch and ten I saw his project to be done. There has been many more from I gather in the post's he has made since.
Thank again Steve you are a real asset and "old Geezer as his post some time say, all I can say is for him to keep up the good work and helping the less informed.
Thank again!!!!!!!!

Hey Steve: I went to our downtown post office and on the wanted poster side there was a cropped photo- and it wasn't me!! . So if the Police and FBI
I and the Sheriff's dept , I will take the 5th, brandy would be o.k. So you may be safe for awhile.
Good luck my far away friend and thank you for If the Debut photo. If anyone wants an autographed photo you will have to get the address out of the membership book
