I am just finishing up my 26 Canadian coupe sill plates got a set from langs but they are not going to fit the way they are does anyone have pictures of them so I know what they look like thanks mike
Here is a clip from a larger picture. I will try to take a better closer photo tomorrow.
This is as good as I got from a '26 Coupe. Hope it helps.
I have an original pair of the style posted in Donís picture. They are stamped zinc and have not been painted. Would like $150 for the pair. P M me if interested.
There were several different ones for the coupe. I have a mid year 1926 coupe made in canada, mine look like the picture David posted. I am unable to attach a picture. Overall length is 10", holes are 8 3/8 apart. They appear to be stamped out of a zinc like sheet metal. Old ones are a dark grey, they polish but do not get as bright as nickel. Those are not reproduced. Model a's have similar but are not the same size.
Here are some better pictures of my 1927 coupe sill plates.
If anybody needs plates like David shows, I have 4 of them in my swap meet stocks.
Allan from down under.
thanks for the info this one has the holes for the small ones
I don't claim to know anything about 26-27 Canadian production. I think that I've heard or read that US produced 26 coupes did not use the zinc plated plates like David Harrison shows, above, but 27's did (at least mine did). Mine do not appear to be as long, maybe 9 inches, give or take a half inch, but certainly not as long as the ones, shown. Tudors did use similar plates that were much longer than coupe's.
Allan, please contact me regarding your June 2, 2018 post regarding sill plates. I believe they are 10 long with holes 8 3/8" on center. Thanks.
