Anybody have a source for type III roofing asphalt for potting rebuilt coils - preferably in less than 50 or 100 lb chunks? Seems like you'd always need a bit more tar than you dig our because the new capacitors are a lot smaller than the old.

Some of the lumber yards here in town use to carry it in round pieces about the size of a 5 gal. bucket. Try a lumber yard in your area. Or maybe a yard that carries roll roofing. Hope this helps.
