Hi can anyone help me date this steering column? the spark and throttle rod have remnants of brass plating. It is simply amazing how good Model T steel cleans up after 100 plus years

Looks like 1914 to me.
The bearing area must be split like the later T's. Anneal that area first, and use a very sharp chisel, or a fine Dremel tool, or fine saw blade. Then you can gently pry apart that area to be able to release the rods, then after sand blasting or polishing the rods, sent them out for brass plating.
Is that preferable to removing the gear case and setting new rivets on re-assembly the way it was made ? Any road you want to be sure the rivets on the gear case are sound. It looks as if the spark lever is cut off or broken as part of it is still in the frame bracket. While we're on the subject, is there a difference between 1913 and '14 columns ?
