Can anyone tell me where to find the Manufacturers Serial Number on a 1922 Model T Centerdoor. The Family is getting ready to sell my Father's 1922 Centerdoor to settle his Estate. We found the title he had for it, but we want to make sure everything is correct before it is sold.
Thanks
Warren Robinson

Until late 1925 I believe Ford only numbered the motor. The number is located just above the water inlet on the left side of the engine block.

Once you have the number, you can look in the Encyclopedia section of this site and find the day it was numbered.
The very early prior to 1912 , the number was on the front right side of the motor. After December 1925, the engine number was stamped on the chassis Justin front of the left firewall.

Sometimes the Ford is fitted with an aftermarket water pump, at the block water inlet, that item can hide the engine serial number from easy view.

Some states have replaced the original serial number with a modern "assigned" VIN on some cars. This is sometimes to reduce the confusion caused by engines being replaced over the years. Of course, such assigned VINs create a confusion all their own. Assigned VINs usually have something other than all numerical digits in them. Look at the title.
