I know of Attica, N.Y., and there's a tiny village named Attica in Michigan near Lapeer.

Their Uncle Cy was never up to greet them and was not ever very well. It was a running gag and I knew that even when I was 12 years old that his name was Cy-attica and that was why he never got out of bed to visit with them because of the pain. Also there was and perhaps still is a prison named Attica.
