Removing camshaft to replace tappets, have timing cover off, tappets up and cam seems like something is holding it. Cam gear is still on do I just need to wiggle cam around to fit thru bearings ?

The front and middle bearings come out with the cam, look on the side of the block for two retaining bolts.

If you don't have the Ford service manual, you really need to get one. :-)

There 2 bolts on side of block holding front and center cam bearings. Remove these bolts bearings come out with cam shaft.
