Sometime in late 1916 Ford went from the brass radiator to the 1917 style steel shelled radiator. would anyone know the exact date of that change over?
August 1916
Thanks Frank. I know that the new models started in Aug. but there were overlaps in production. An example would be the fact that the 1915 style touring car body went into production as late as Jan. 1915. The reason I'm looking for an exact date on the radiator change is that I have a July 15, 1916 engine and was wondering if the change over could have been earlier than Aug. 1916. Of course it could also have been later than Aug.
Price change for the black radiator 1917 T was 1st August 1916 in the USA.
We had the brass radiator 1916 drag out for another year or so at our end of the world, transport, WW1 and a lot of politics involved, it was the end of 1917 we got it for 1918 release.
While the 15 style body may have gone into production, the 14 style was still being assemble into the 15 calendar year at some of the branch plant.
