I have been unable to find a period running board toolbox which is low enough for the door on tudor sedan to open above it.
A few weeks ago I found one which fits the bill. It was a box for a Metabo brand electric power tool of some sort, probably from the 60's before the advent of plastic cases. The steel divisions and brackets had been broken out, leaving spot welds and holes. I had to remove the carry handle, make gòod a few holes and dents and repaint it. It turned out OK.
Allan from down under,
I'd say it turned out OK! It will look great. Cheers, Bill
Wow, that is one slick looking toolbox!
Looks good. I expect the price was right too.
Why not!? (Rhetorical question, I do not want an answer. I think it will look great!)
