HI, I have a Model A frame and the number is A44657XX.

I think it is a March 1931 frame.

Just want to have my ducks lined up for DMV.

Thanks, Scott

Scott,

In another thread, http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/822076/890077.html?1534638013, there was a discussion about registration in California. I was surprised to learn that people hire others to help with registering their car in California. Apparently the people at the DMV don't really know what they are doing when it comes to antique cars.

Neil

Scott, I see that you live in California, before you waste your time at the DMV you better check up on the DMV and CHP current rules. The last time I checked a few years ago the DMV or CHP is not suppose to, and will not verify VIN numbers on disassembled vehicles, they have to be complete and assembled. You risk having to get a CHP assigned VIN on a vehicle from parts. Try to get in touch with someone who can help you as per Neil's link, there may be a work around.
